About the field of study

Completion of HCI, which is run in English, provides a unique opportunity to acquire broader than just technical, competencies from the interface of computer science and social sciences. Studying HCI allows you to acquire and develop skills to design solutions and services based on the latest information and robotic technologies. HCI prepares you to work independently with devices and technologies, including those that will be developed in the future, and gives you the competence to conduct their systematic testing, evaluation and optimization for end users. In technologically advanced countries such as Germany, France, the US, Singapore and Japan, among others, where the innovative economy is largely based on engineering personnel with strict technical training, the model of transformation of HCI education and development has been supported for several years. Professionals in this field are also absorbed into the European labor market by a range of industries, starting with IT, consumer electronics, automotive, robotics, aerospace, medical technology and personalized telecare, applications and user services, and technology startups.

About you

Polish aphorist Krzysztof Bilica stated: "A computer doesn't count with a human being, and it doesn't count without a human being either." Not surprisingly, there is a growing demand in the labor market for human-computer interaction (HCI) specialists. Employers are looking for people who can prototype, evaluate and test interactive technologies designed for users - people. Studying Human-Computer Interaction will allow you to get an education that is in line with the latest trends in foreign markets and gaining increasing recognition in Poland. You will gain knowledge and technical skills in the operation of modern IT equipment, multi-modal interfaces, acquisition and processing of signals and physiological data, design and manufacturing of 3D printing prototypes, software, and the latest interactive methods and technologies. The skills you acquire, as well as technological and social competencies, will allow you to work in interdisciplinary teams in a variety of industries - from ICT and consumer electronics to medical technology, the automotive industry or technology startups. Thanks to the extensive international cooperation of the staff of the Institute of Applied Computer Science, you will have contact with HCI specialists and academics from all over the world - from the leading universities of Europe to the best universities of the US and Asia.
