About the field of study

Materials Engineering is one of the most versatile technical majors, whose graduates will never be in demand, as materials specialists are needed in every field of industry. Studies in the field are run in a modern teaching building, and laboratories equipped with state-of-the-art research equipment allow the first scientific research to be carried out. Students learn the secrets of thermo-chemical processing of materials and learn to weld and shape the characteristics of materials using plastic, laser or plasma machining. They will also learn the secrets of 3D printing, biomaterials for the production of modern medical implants, drug carriers or active surfaces with antibacterial properties. The study program is designed to provide students not only with theoretical knowledge, but also with practical engineering competencies. During their seven semesters of education, they will not only complete a mandatory range of courses that will allow them to acquire the skills they need to enter the workforce, but they will also have the opportunity to choose their future career path, thanks to an offer of elective modules. Materials Engineering is a field of study that pushes the boundaries of the impossible in shaping the world around it.

Materials and technologies is a course of study in which you will gain theoretical and practical knowledge of materials with industrial and medical applications. You will learn about the physical and chemical properties of materials, which will increase your awareness of their application in work and everyday life.
