language requirements

Polish language

If you want to study in the Polish language, you should meet one of the requirements listed below:

  • hold a Pole's Card, which proves basic knowledge of Polish, or
  • have completed a year-long course preparing candidates to study in Poland and in the Polish language organized solely by institutions appointed by the Minister of Science and Higher Education, or
  • hold a Polish Language Certificate (issued by the National Commission for Polish as a Foreign Language (Państwowa Komisja Poświadczania Znajomości Języka Polskiego jako Obcego); more information about the certificate and upcoming exams is available on the website: certyfikatpolski.pl or
  • graduate from one of Polish Language Schools for Foreigners and hold a B1 level Polish language certificate or
  • in case you study or have studied in the Polish language, provide a document issued by your Secondary School/University confirming that Polish is/was the medium of instruction or

 

  • take TUL's Polish language exam - an online test and an online interview.  The deadline for applying to TUL's exam is on December 24, 2020, 3 pm. It costs 200 PLN and if you pass you can use the certificate we issue to apply to TUL.

English language

If you want to study in the English language, you should hold one of the international certificates:

  • First Certificate in English (FCE), Certificate in Advanced English (CAE), Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE), Business English Certificate 2 (BEC2), Business English Certificate (BEC3), Certificate in English for International Business and Trade (CEIBT), certificates issued by University of Cambridge Local Examination Syndicate,
  • International English Language Testing System IELTS – over 6 points- certificates issued by University of Cambridge Local Examination Syndicate, the British Council, Education Australia,
  • Educational Testing Service (ETS) — in particular certificates: Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) — at least 87 points in the Internet-Based Test (iBT); Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) — at least 180 points in Computer-Based Test (CBT) supplemented with at least 50 points in Test of Spoken English (TSE); Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) — at least 510 points in Paper-Based Test (PBT) supplemented with at least 3,5 points in Test of Written English (TWE) and at least 50 points in Test of Spoken English (TSE); Test of English for International Communication (TOEIC) — at least 700 points;

or

  • in case you already study or have studied in the English language, provide a document issued by your Secondary School/University confirming that English was medium of instruction or
  • take TUL's English language exam - an online test and an online interview.  The deadline for applying to TUL's exam is on December 24, 2020, at 3 pm. It costs 200 PLN and if  you pass you can use the certificate we issue to apply to TUL.

French language

If you want to study in French language, you should hold one of the international certificates:

  • Diplôme d’Etudes de Langue Française (DELF), Diplôme Approfondi de Langue Française (SAFL), issued by the National Ministry of Education of France (National Commission for Exams DELF and DALF),
  • Certyficat d’acès au DALF, organised by the French Institute,
  • Diplôme de Langue Française (DL), Diplôme Supèrieur d’Etudes Françaises Modernes (DS.), Diplôme des Hautes Etudes Françaises (DHEF) – issued by Alliance Française,

or

  • in case you already study or have studied in the French language, provide a document issued by your Secondary School/University confirming that French was medium of instruction.

 

 

Apply without IELTS! Take TUL's Laguage Exam

 

In case you don't have an international language certificate nor meet the abovementioned conditions, don't worry!


You can apply for TUL's Language Exam!

TUL's Language Centre offers the possibility to take the English language exam or the Polish language exam, which consist of an online test and an online interview.
It costs 200 PLN to take it and in case you pass, you can use the certificate we issue as a document confirming your sufficient level of English / Polish and apply to TUL.


How to apply?

Send us, within the deadline, an e-mail at foreignstudents@info.p.lodz.pl informing us that you want to take the exam. Attach the confirmation of payment and general information like your name, surname, type of exam (English or Polish?) and your Skype ID.


Deadline for applications - December 24, 2020, at 3 pm!
