Management Engineering

Degree programs in this field of study are practical.

The curriculum is aligned with the strategic objectives of Lodz University of Technology, in particular:

• high quality education and modern teaching and learning offer - many subjects focus on current problems in the area of techniques and methods of database applications, ICT, mobile applications;
• internationalization - electives will be taught in a foreign language and a foreign language course at B2 level will be obligatory;
• active cooperation with the environment - mobility semester, 6 weeks of traineeship, which meaningfully increase the share of hands-on learning in engineering education;
• competent academic staff and achievement of world-class standards in science - the program includes classes which make use of modern forms and methods of teaching and learning: design thinking, problem based learning, case-teaching, e-learning.

The main objective of the degree program in management engineering is to provide students with knowledge and practical skills related to the creation, modification, implementation, and maintenance of effective technical and organizational solutions with the application of interdisciplinary knowledge. In addition, the curriculum enables students to learn foreign language skills at B2 level.

The curriculum of the program provides for engineering training modern technical and technological solutions, materials science, engineering graphics, mechanics, and environmental engineering. Appropriate balance of knowledge and skills in the field of technical sciences and social sciences (management, economics, finance, law, marketing and computer-aided techniques and methods) forms the graduate profile of a modern executive engineer.

The curriculum is continuously optimized based on the surveys conducted by the Career Service of Lodz University of Technology and ongoing discussions between the academic staff of Lodz University of Technology and business representatives.
