Did you know that it is possible to apply a technique within production engineering to produce models of existing objects. As part of her master's thesis, our student developed a technology for making an artistic cast of the Rector's Office of Lodz University of Technology.

Description of the field of study: 

A good production engineer must successfully combine theory and practice. That is why you will learn the necessary knowledge not only about manufacturing techniques and production organisation but also about law and economics. Classes are taught by qualified and experienced academics who conduct their research in conjunction with business practice. In numerous laboratories and workshops you will learn about issues concerning production processes, which are carried out in various branches of industry. And all this using the latest educational methods based on national and international models.

What you gain: 
  • preparation to work as a designer, technologist, production process manager,
  • ability to work in a team or as a leader, whose task is to solve complex interdisciplinary problems in the field of production engineering,
  • ability to professionally prepare 2D, 3D technical documentation,
  • ability to use modern computer tools for designing production processes and simulations, i.e.: CAD, CAM, MRP, ERP,
  • broad knowledge of production planning and maintenance.
Cooperation with companies: 

Students will complete a 4 week internship in one of the following production companies during their second semester of study:

  • Hart-Tech Sp. z o.o.
Job perspectives: 
  • work as a production process manager, technologist, constructor or designer in production companies
  • employment in e.g. engineering, electromechanical, automotive and precision industries,
  • own business activity,
  • possibility of undertaking third cycle studies, as well as work in research and development centres or consulting companies.
