Technical Physics

The second-cycle degree programme provides an opportunity to acquire advanced knowledge in condensed matter physics and its relevant research methods, modern and applied physics.Students acquire knowledge, learn skills and competences which enable them to develop their intellectual capabilities and to find interesting employment opportunities. Students may choose one of the two specializations: optoelectronics or medical physics. Optoelectronics specialization is delivered in cooperation with the Faculty of Electrical, Electronic, Computer and Control Engineering of Lodz University of technology. The Institute of Physics cooperates with Corning Optical Communications Polska Sp. z o.o. whose support of the specialization consists in participation in the programme content development, provision of supplies and offering placement opportunities to our students. As far as medical physics specialization is concerned the Institute of Physics cooperates with the M. Kopernik Voivodeship Specialized Hospital in Lodz.
