Degree studies in this field provide an opportunity to develop spatial imagination. Course units such as urban design, residential architecture design, landscape design, architectural design of public buildings, rural development design or heritage conservation prepare students for creating various buildings and structures. Art classes develop students’ spatial imagination, their sense of colour, proportions or the play of light and shadow. Fundamentals of civil engineering are also introduced to students. The programme prepares the future interior designers for the pursuit of creative professional activity in interior design, design, exhibitions or scenography and for various auxiliary roles in the area of civil engineering, architecture, urban design, individual and in team projects. They learn how to cooperate with specialists with a background in other technical or arts and humanities areas when working on team projects. They will acquire the skills to manage interior design projects both in newly designed buildings as well as in buildings under adaptive reuse.
Graduates with a degree in architecture are prepared for jobs in construction and architecture industry in Poland and abroad. They can practise at architectural firms or pursue professional activities in the areas of architectural and urban design. They can choose to follow a career path in project management and building control or interior design industry. Graduates are prepared to cooperate professionally with specialist in other technical or arts and humanities areas. They can seek licensure in civil engineering.
