The first-cycle inżynier degree program enables students to acquire skills to design and develop applications, computer games, and IT systems based on technologies such as computer networks, databases, and computer graphics. The main emphasis is put on practical application of the learned knowledge and skills. The Faculty running the program cooperates closely with IT companies, which facilitates continuous updating of the curriculum and adapting it to the needs of the job market.
Students of Applied Computer Science participate in the academic programs of leading software providers such as the Microsoft Academy, Oracle Academy, and Cisco Network Academy, where they can learn from the training materials developed by these companies. The best students are certified on completion of classes. Students learn to work independently and as part of a team by carrying out collaborative programming projects. They successfully participate in international IT competitions such as the Microsoft Imagine Cup.
Excellent infrastructure of the Faculty (Information Technology Center) encourages the pursuit of academic interests - students have access to the latest technologies related to mixed reality, film techniques, biometrics, artificial intelligence, software engineering, computer networks, and mobile systems.
The Faculty also offers degree programs in this field taught in English at the International Faculty of Engineering.

Graduates with a degree in Applied Computer Science from the Faculty of FTIMS find it easy to secure employment, which is further facilitated by the curriculum that is fully synchronised with the expectations of the job market.
